I saw the above statement on an online diagram this morning and it
actually unnerved me. In talking to leads over the past couple of weeks,
I've noticed that the American entrepreneurial spirit has diminished.
No longer are people willing to take their ideas and turn them into
reality such as Henry Ford and his T-Model. No longer as people willing
to drop out of school to pursue a dream such as Zuckerberg of Facebook
fame. Many industrialists that many admire are actually entrepreneurs.
But with the economy in the toilet, many people are brainwashed into
thinking that paycheck will carry them through. They don't think they
can be the next "industrial tycoon".
Claiming the 99% need a
raise is a misnomer. As soon as the minimum wage is raised, other basic
commodities with rise as well due to the extra dollars in the market.
This is inflation. Essentially, if a person making $7.25 an hour now has
to work 30 minutes to buy a gallon of milk at $3.70, then if his wage
is raised to $10 (along with everyone else) he will still have to work
30 minutes for a gallon of milk because the price has risen to $5 per
gallon. If companies have to pay more in salary, then they must raise
prices of their goods and services.
The only way the 99% can get
a true raise is to start their own business. My son is 17 and was
having a hard time finding a job. He started a landscape business, sells
sodas at school and promoted local events for teenagers. I didn't have
to give him any money this summer. Now he is looking at selling Jordans
and Nikes online but that's another blog post!
"Find a niche and
fill it". That is the mantra I have repeatedly told my son and the one I
want to share with you. Does your opportunity SOLVE a person's problem?
I'm not talking about the business opportunity within your system but
the product itself? Are you capitalizing on solving your customer's
problems? People spend $300 on a pair of shoes (whether Nikes or
Louboutins) for a reason. Find out that reason and have people coming to
you.
Someone earlier today stated I sell a Life Disruption Solution. I thought about it and here is what I came up with:
If you're in an accident and out of work, your life has been disrupted.
If you die from an accident, your family's life has been disrupted.
If you are stranded with a dead battery, your life has been disrupted.
If you are arrested due to a moving or non-moving violation, your life has been disrupted.
If you need prescriptions, your life has been disrupted.
People
are in trouble today. They need help. You can provide some of that help
by becoming an Independent Contractor with the Motor Club of America.
There are over $150,000 worth of benefits to keep people covered in
these difficult economic times.

The Product or the Opportunity?
www.mcaprotect.tk
So which one are you focusing on for your home based marketing business? Are you making sales of your product or are you focused on building a downline? There are pros and cons to each each approach. A little later, I will reveal my approach.
The pros of selling your product is you don't feel like you are badgering anyone. You give them a video to watch or make a presentation or give them a brochure. You follow up within 24 hours and close the deal. You get to meet lots of people. Many whom you interact with won't perceive you as a "scam" artist or "pyramid scheme" guru because you are focused on product and not recruitment. As a result, you may recruit people because you have a softer approach.
The cons of only selling your product could be less pay (depending on your business) because there are no overrides on a straight sell and you may not recruit people because you don't mention the opportunity!
The pros of selling the opportunity is you build your downline and residual wealth.
A con of directing all attention on the opportunity is you also tend to forget about the product. This can lead to a loss of credibility in prospects' eyes. You give the impression that their is something wrong with the product because you are not even bothering to sell it.
Because we are go-getters, we sometime annoy friends and family and that is a definite con of selling the opportunity only. In recruiting, we tend to be a bit more aggressive because we don't qualify our leads. We get so caught up that we ignore the signals our prospect (including friends and family) sends to us. Paying attention to how someone responds to your ad for signing on is the first clue if someone is qualified. I had a young woman respond to an ad I posted. She sent me her resume but only had "Hi" in her email. That told me she was not confident, could not speak to people (even through email) and was looking for a job, not an opportunity. Asking a few simple questions such as if they have done network marketing before, are they willing to learn, and do they look outside of the box for solutions can tell you what kind of prospect you have.
I was a Mary Kay consultant many years ago and I was uncomfortable with presenting the opportunity. I enjoyed the networking with my customers and not pushing them into something. Today, in my business with MCA, I realize I have the same feelings. But there is a difference. With the Motor Club of America (MCA), I can sell MCA memberships and get paid just as well. I don't have to build a downline and ostracize my friends and family. No, I won't receive overrides but if I sign up a bunch of unqualified prospects, then they will quit and I still won't have the overrides!
The Motor Club of America offers roadside assistance with unlimited towing, $50,000 accidental death benefits, discounts on prescriptions, dental, vision, up to $25,000 bail bond, assistance with emergency lodging and transportation if stranded after an accident and so much more! These benefits are easy to sell. With today's shaky economy, people are loosing insurance benefits and an MCA membership can help to supplement what they have. (Note: MCA is not car or health insurance).

Take a look, though and you see some definite patterns:

Scam! Bamboozled! Hogwash!
I usually don't blog about my MCA business outright but this post is needed because I am sure it applies to many other businesses. Zeek notwithstanding, many home based businesses are legitimate ways to make supplemental income. Many people can use a realistic $400 to $750 extra per month. Other work full time and are able to generate over $1500 per month.
Some of these income claims seem fantastic and that's where the skepticism comes in from the general public. I decided to do some more research online on MCA because yesterday while talking to some people on FB who asked about MCA, I had a couple of negative Nelly's intervene. One said, "The sale is never guaranteed and it's a pyramid scheme." I informed her sales is the highest paid occupation in the world and it is ONLY for risk takers but it is also for those who want more than just the security of a paycheck, doing something they loath, 40 to 60 hours away from their family per week. Another said "Google it, it's a scam". So I did...
I went to Ripoffreport.com. The only MCA I found was MCA Motors which is a finance company. The Motor Club of America protects cars, not sells them so this wasn't them. The next MCA (My Car Agent) was another car dealer. By now I'm on the 2nd page of Google and it gets into MCA of the Beastie Boys, the rapper who passed recently from cancer. And then you have the post graduate MCA, Masters in Computer Applications, of which I did not even know existed.
On Google, "Scam MCA" comes up with a lot of information. For example, the Ministry of Consumer Affairs (MCA) in China dealing with importers receiving emails dealing with the Canton Free Trade Fair. After page 5 on Google, I went to page 10 and still did not see any proof of an MCA scam.
I understand people wanting to shout "scam!" from the rooftops, however, that's what was said about Amway, Tupperware, Mary Kay and Avon. Those companies are still in business, provide excellent products and have kept many people happy in their own home based business. We will never go back to the economic growth we had from 1945 to 1989. The glory days are over. It's time to think outside of the box and do things a little differently.
If you are a go-getter, can think outside of the box and want to make an additional $400+ a month on top of your regular pay, then come see what makes MCA different at http://www.nothingtolosemca.tk.
Have a great day.

Work From Home! But Everyone Forgets...
That the operative word is "work". Network marketing, whether online or offline is work. I am realizing this great wisdom 7 days into my MCA business. Don't get me wrong: MCA offers a great product (AAA on steroids) and an awesome compensation plan. However, the checks don't just fall into your lap.
In my first 4 days, I was up 20 hours a day trying to get friends and family to recognize the benefits of having an MCA membership. I stopped my usual Facebook statuses, started a new business page and went hog wild in getting people to see what I saw. Want to know what I got? 9 people liked my new business page and a lot of "no's" from those family and friends. I learned some things in those 4 days and I would like to share them with you.
1. If you have a product/system that you believe in, let it show. Don't be overzealous. If you believe in it, your friends, family and associates will as well, eventually.
2. Don't tire yourself out spinning your wheels. If you have a sponsor, use them! If not, watch what the successful people do. If what they do makes you uncomfortable, use IBOTOOLBOX; that's what it is here for...You already took the chance to think outside of the box and work for yourself so get the training you need to be successful.
3. Don't neglect your life. I was on the computer for 20 hours a day for 4 days. I forgot about my family because as a single mother, I wanted to be able to provide for my children. They only cared about spending time with me, not how much money I made.
4. Set up a schedule. Tell yourself from 9 to 10, I will write classified ads and post them. From 10 to 11, I will post flyers in public places. Whatever you decide, just make sure you follow through as this is your "job" until you have things in place to earn your residual income.
I woke up this morning with 6 leads in my inbox. I'm sure to some, that is not a lot but to the new marketers, I want you to see that sometimes things happen slowly but it doesn't mean that they won't happen. Good luck to everyone out there.

Hurricane Isaac and Your Car
I live in New Hampshire and from about 2005 to about 2008, every Mother's Day, we would have massive rain. Combined with the snow runoff, our town and surrounding areas would become flooded. Now there is Hurricane Issac headed to the Gulf. Floods and cars don't mix but because we place such a premium on our vehicles, some people, out of desperation may do anything to save their car.
I had a job delivering papers one year to make some money while unemployed after giving birth. I had a Blazer and even though many towns were flooded, I thought I was superwoman in my truck and decided to deliver the papers as normal. No one told me that FEMA had declared New Hampshire a state of emergency and the potential for more flooding was imminent. There was one section in which the water came over my tires and I realized I was not touching the road. Thankfully, I came to some high ground, found the back high road, abandoned my duties and drive home. I was terrified at losing my life but even more so at losing my car because it was how I got to work, did work and took my children to their doctor and school.
It is said that only two feet of water is needed to make a car float away. My daughter is 6 and she is taller than two feet. Rushing water is a very strong force. With every foot that the water level rises, you car loses the affect of 1500 pounds. If you car weighs 5000 pounds, at three and a half feet, your car will seemingly weigh nothing. If your car is floating away, please do not try to jump into it to steer it back to your home. Your weight does help but your 150/200 pound frame can do nothing to mitigate the force of 5000 pounds.
Once your car has dried out, you will need to take it to a mechanic. (My Blazer was considered totaled after it no longer worked as soon as I had it inspected). The brakes are the number one issue everyone thinks about but that is NOT the issue to be concerned about. The transmission in a car is meant to remain dry. That's why it has a hood: to protect it from the rain. If enough water gets into the transmission, no amount of drying out will fix it. A new transmission will be in order.
There really isn't much we can do to change the weather or it's power. If you have a garage, park your car in it. (Trust me, most of the stuff parked in there can probably be thrown out anyway). If your car is outside, find some bungee cords and tie it to a fence or other structure that can withstand the might of the water as it rises.
I pray you are all safe in the next few days.

Do You Know What That Sound Is In Your Car Engine?
http://mcaprotect.tk
http://mcaprotect.tk
What sound, you ask? A tick, tick, tick sound your car engine makes. It's not the loud knocking sound many talk about; this one is much quieter. It's almost a whisper.
On a recent trip from New England to South Carolina, my car was making that sound but I didn't hear anything else or smell anything so I kept driving. For 1046 miles I drove until (finally) something told me to get it checked out. I drove 7 miles to the nearest auto place and come to find out, my car was low on oil. It wasn't just low, it had NO oil! The sound was the bearings getting ready to crack and blow my engine apart.
The guys at the car place told me a lot. Living in New England, many use synthetic oil because it's thinner and easier to get through the engine on cold days. Conventional oil is thicker and takes a bit more time to lubricate the engine on those wintery days. However, the thin oil is not necessarily good for your car in cold weather either because the lubrication is thin and may actually not be enough coverage.
Apparently, many newer cars run on synthetic oil. The guys at the shop I visited felt it was a conspiracy since synthetic oil and its oil changes are much more expensive. I'm not sure about that but I have since switched my car to the conventional oil and she runs much better as a result.
Visit your mechanic today for a pre-fall/winter car check-up and find out, once and for all, which oil is best for your vehicle.
Also make sure you have a Motor Club of America membership. It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. Visit www.tvcmatrix.com/joede1123 for your membership today.

Be Prepared For This Winter's Driving
http://nothingtolosemca.tk
Last winter, in New England, we had one day of snow in October. That is highly unusual for us. Many New Englanders believe we are going to pay for it with this winter. I did some research and there is a consensus that the East Coast will receive more precipitation and we will be below average for most of the season. And if we were to go by the wives' tale of: For every fog in August means a snowfall in winter, then we are not going to fare well in the Northeast.
No matter where you live, being stuck in the cold is more difficult to correct that being stuck on the side of the road in the summer. In the summer, you can step outside. In the winter, you need to bundle up. In the summer, fixing a flat is easier than in the winter and so on.
So let's get to a list of items that you already have but should be in the car for winter driving:
* Blankets
* A spare charged cell phone
* Flares
* A wind-up radio
* A first aid kit
* Extra winter clothes such as a fleece jacket.
* Jumper cables or a Battery Booster Make sure you charge it before leaving the house.
* A bag of sand or Kitty Litter to get you out of an ice patch.
* An ice scraper – preferably one with a brush and an adjustable handle to help remove snow.
* Dried foods like beef jerky and granola bars. No liquids as the bottles will explode. Eat snow for water.
* Emergency tire sealant
* Flashlights
* A shovel
* A small tool kit
* Extra batteries
All of these are great and will help you if stranded but if you need to stay warm and eat the emergency food, then you are stuck and need someone to come get you. That's where MCA comes in. You get unlimited towing (no more limited to 4 tows a year) and you can get towed up to 100 miles with no additional cost. If you need to rent a car, you can get reimbursed up to $500. If you are more than 50 miles from home, you can also get reimbursed for lodging and transportation costs. The MCA membership should be the FIRST item on your emergency list.
MCA also offers a great membership referral program that is completely optional.
Go to www.tvcmatrix.com/joede1123 to sign up today. Choose “Best Now” for complete coverage.
Don't wait until you are stuck on the side of the road. Contact me today!

ZEEK And Other Companies Being Targeted By the SEC
http://mcaprotect.tk
Apparently, the feds have had enough with apparent ponzi schemes. I'm sure we can go back to Madoff to see when the enforcement trend started.
2009 Canopy Financial - SEC obtained an emergency asset freeze to halt a $75 million Ponzi scheme that defrauded investors in a private placement offering. The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Illinois brought parallel criminal actions against Canopy Financials founders.
2010 Chimay Capital Management Inc. - SEC obtained an emergency asset freeze to halt a fraudulent bridge loan scheme by an investment firm and its chairman that raised at least $6 million based on bogus claims that investor funds would be pooled with money from a Belgian royal family. The New York County District Attorney's Office brought a parallel criminal action against Guy Albert de Chimay.
2011 Jeffrey A. Lowrance - SEC charged the CEO of a purported foreign currency trading firm for running a Ponzi scheme that raised approximately $21 million from investors nationwide by promising huge profits and purporting to share their Christian values and limited-government political views. The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Illinois brought a parallel criminal action against Lowrance.
2012 ZEEK The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced fraud charges and an emergency asset freeze to halt a $600 million Ponzi scheme on the verge of collapse. The emergency action assures that victims can recoup more of their money and potentially avoid devastating losses. The SEC alleges that online marketer Paul Burks of Lexington, N.C. and his company Rex Venture Group have raised money from more than one million Internet customers nationwide and overseas through the website ZeekRewards.com, which they began in January 2011.
What do all of these situations have in common? These investments are based upon stock and/or financial gambling. There is no get rich quick system. What there are for many people are opportunities to make great income. Do your due diligence before signing on the dotted line. If there is no product, run.
