Have a teen driver? Worried s/he may breakdown and you are too far away at work to help? Or (God forbid) they are in an accident and neither of you know what to do? It's our job as parents to protect them, especially when they are on the road.
Many people give AAA memberships as gifts each year. I encourage you to look at MCA and our benefits which are great for teen drivers.
We have plans that start at $10 a month. A Triple A plan is $63 the first year and $49 every year thereafter. And that's great - it's cheap.
With AAA, you get 4 service calls per year. So if your child drives an older model that breaks down a little more often or if they get a couple of flats, have a dead battery or lock their keys out of the car, AAA will NOT get them after 4 calls. Your child could be on the way home for the holidays and stuck because AAA will not help them.
And speaking of coming back home, if they are in an accident more than 50 miles away from home, they will get reimbursed up to $500 for a rental, lodging and meals so they CAN get home!
If they are injured in an accident, they would receive up to $500 for admission to an emergency room or trauma center and up to $54,000 in cash benefits if they are admitted into the hospital as a result of the accident. If they have their own bills to pay and work, this will help maintain some of those obligations.
And if they are no longer on your insurance, they can get a discount for their prescriptions, dentist and glasses!
The above benefits are just a part of our most basic plan. Your child would also be protected if they are arrested for a moving violation in the form of a $500 arrest bond and $25,000 bail bond. They would also get attorney's fees paid up to $200 for covered moving violations and up to $500 for vehicle damage and up to $2000 for negligent homicide or vehicular manslaughter.
Do they have a new credit card? They would be protected up to $1000 for a lost or stolen card.
As you can see, the MCA Security Plan at $9.95 per month is a great way to protect your teen driver on and off the road. When you sign up today, your child is protected today. There is no 7 day waiting period.
